TheCrypto.Wiki writes about cryptocurrency platforms, projects, and the people behind them. Some of that coverage is critical, and some of it concerns real companies and real individuals. We take accuracy seriously, and this page explains how to tell us we got something wrong.
Our Editorial Approach
- Primary sources first. Factual claims are based on publicly available information such as company documentation, whitepapers, regulatory filings, court records, official announcements, on-chain data, and established news reporting.
- Facts are separated from opinion. Where we describe events (a security breach, a regulatory settlement, a company's founding date), we intend those as statements of fact drawn from the sources above. Where we assess a platform (its usability, its risk profile, whether it suits a particular type of user), that is our opinion, offered for informational and educational purposes.
- Everything is dated. Articles and reviews display a publication date and, where applicable, a "last updated" date. Content reflects the information available to us as of that date. The cryptocurrency industry changes quickly: fees, ownership, licensing, available countries, and security practices can all change after publication.
- No paid coverage. We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage, and we do not remove or soften accurate reporting in exchange for payment or advertising. Affiliate relationships are disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Requesting a Correction
If you believe something on this site is factually inaccurate, please tell us. Anyone can submit a correction request, whether or not you are the subject of the content.
Send your request through our Contact page and include:
- The exact URL of the page.
- The specific statement you say is inaccurate, quoted directly.
- Why it is inaccurate, in plain terms.
- Supporting evidence — ideally a primary source such as official documentation, a filing, a court record, or an official statement.
Requests that identify a specific statement and provide a verifiable source are the ones we can act on fastest.
How We Handle Correction Requests
- We aim to acknowledge correction requests within five business days of receipt.
- We review the claim against the available sources.
- If we confirm a factual error, we correct it promptly and, where the correction is material, add a visible note recording what was changed and when.
- If we conclude the original statement was accurate, we will say so and explain our reasoning.
- If a statement was accurate when published but has since been overtaken by events (for example, a platform has since obtained a licence, changed ownership, or changed its fees), we will update the page to reflect the current position rather than treat it as an error.
We handle these requests ourselves and in good faith. We are a small independent publication, not a newsroom with a legal department, and we would genuinely rather fix a mistake quickly than argue about it.
Right of Reply
If you are the subject of coverage on this site — a platform, a project, or an individual — you may submit a short written statement in response. Where your statement is relevant and proportionate, we will consider publishing it alongside the content, or reflecting your position within it.

What This Process Does Not Cover
To set expectations clearly and honestly:
- We correct inaccuracies. We do not remove accurate, sourced information because a subject finds it unflattering. Documented security breaches, regulatory actions, settlements, and court outcomes are matters of public record, and reporting them accurately is a legitimate part of what this site does.
- Opinion is not an error. You may disagree with our assessment of a platform. Disagreement with an opinion is not a factual inaccuracy, though you are welcome to use the right of reply above.
- We cannot correct third-party content. This site links to external websites and embeds third-party tools and data. We are not responsible for their content or accuracy.
